Agenda Security Services Attends ASIS Security Briefing

Agenda attended the ASIS Breakfast briefing in Coventry. A well attended meeting with talks from Prof. Martin Gill of the Perpetuity Group on the Value of Security in a Corporate Domain – and Regulation in the Security Sector – A Roadmap and Possible Futures, this was followed by Chris Hearn of the British Transport Police who is closely involved at a nationally strategic and operational level in the control of metal theft and Luke Beeson from British Telecom who spoke about Metal Theft : Seen and Unseen Impacts : Trends and Mitigations. Dr Rickinsin completed the presentations giving an overview on the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining work in helping to combat the problems. Following the thought provoking presentations there was time to have an accompanied viewing of the excellent E.ON Security Response Centre at the site. Thanks go to ASIS (www.asisonline.org) for organising such a stimulating briefing!
