According to a recent article in the May/June 2010 edition of the Workplacelaw magazine which featured the results of an audit of pre-employment screening and security compliance of 35 interim, temporary and permanent staffing agencies you should be very concerned. The article written jointly by Norman Mortell of Agenda Security Services and Mike Stephens from a major Research Council highlighted a number of concerns resulting from the audit of over 50 different control items. The audit focused on pre-employment screening practices and in particular compliance with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, Data Protection and general security practices.
